Susana Ojeda (COL/AUT)
is a filmmaker, artist, anthropologist, and activist based in Vienna. She is the co-founder of estudio elgozo, a platform dedicated to audiovisual projects grounded in decolonial, ecofeminist, and social justice perspectives. Through film, installations, workshops, and ritual practices, her work explores ways of reconnecting humans with more-than-human worlds and honoring ancestral knowledge. Since 2023, she has served as co-president of the Austrian Association of Women Artists (VBKÖ). More recently, she co-founded discos elgozo, a record label that builds bridges between independent Colombian music and transnational contexts.

The installation invites visitors to enter into a small ritual of deep reciprocity with waters.
At its centre stands a basin filled with water. Visitors are invited to take a strip of fabric, immerse it in the water, and hang it nearby as an offering. With each gesture, the installation slowly accumulates traces of those who have passed through it: wet cloth, evaporation, touch, intention, memory.
Alongside the basin, a series of flyers offers other forms of consultation. Visitors are invited to take a flyer with them and use it as a score, an oracle, or a prompt for seeking guidance—from healers, curanderas, spiritualists, witches, dreams, rivers, frogs, ancestors, or other beings capable of knowing water differently.
Drawing on popular forms of healing, divination, and spiritual consultation, the installation asks what kinds of knowledge might become available when water is approached not as a resource, but as a living relation—one that constitutes us and that we, in turn, participate in shaping.
Through offering, listening, dreaming, and consultation, the work invites us to imagine small practices for restoring relations of deep reciprocity with the waters that sustain us.
