Installation: textile, flowers, acrylic, ink, blood, water
Created directly within the exhibition space, this installation emerged from the process of curating Water Resistance and collaborating with its artists. It reflects on curating itself as a feminist practice: a way of creating relationships, spaces of care, and collective resistance. Flowers evoke beauty and vulnerability, while their dependence on water makes visible water’s fundamental role in sustaining life. Blood enters the work as a material and symbol of violence—against water and against feminized bodies. Beauty, however, is also found in the joy of working together, in caring for one another and for the Earth, and in our collective decision to resist the imposed logic of patriarchal capitalism and its destruction.
